For Fall 2012 Miu Miu added a contemporary twist to vintage 40′s silhouettes, parading pencil skirts and collared tops uplifted by large obi-like belts and fur boleros. A few floral and wistful prints were thrown into the mix, accessorized with clutches and glitter socks under bright strappy sandals.
Retro sunglasses and bright red lips played on models sporting half down bouffants.
Yellow and white collared coats in mustard, charcoal, and black were introduced at the end, worn as dresses with glittery pumps.
The collection was subtle and sophisticated. Not as playful as in season’s past, but we all need to grow up at some point, right?
